inside the end  cap.

    Malcolm, Fiberglas items are repaired every day in  auto body shops,
Corvettes, and boat shops as the majority of boats are  built from Fiberglas.
Repair is done with a Fiberglass repair kit, two  part resin and Fiberglas cloth
or chop depending on the  situation, available at Canadian Tire, most
automotive and boat  supply shops.
