MMMMM..... Coffee....

My girlfriend and I lived off grid last summer and drank percolated coffee for 6 months straight. It has a wonderful unique flavor when perced, provided you watch it and don't keep it on the heat too long and let it get bitter (the biggest danger with percolators). I think most of the bay area people will agree that Peet's Major Dickinsons blend is one of the best around. Simple, and a good everyday blend.

Ironically enough though - since then, I've switched and found a french

press to be the better method - especially since now that I'm not working construction at 7:30 every morning, 6 cups is a bit too much, and a french press is a good way to make smaller amounts.

Mmmmm.... Coffee.....

It is definitely both the bean and the brew. ugh - the other day I made the mistake of A) drink too much of b) a stong blend of c) arabica. Nearly killed me.
