Breakfast at Lou's in Hanover, NH is worth the trek. plus Hanover in the summer is amazing. Great swimming in the Connecticut.

An hour further north there is also a great cabing, the Aggasiz cabin on the ompanoosic river up route 18. Beautiful river. Be sure to walk the half mile up the river fo some great water falls.

Also near there is Moosilauke mountain lodge. Moosilauke is a great 4 mile hike up for fantastic views of the white mountains.

If you want to spring fro a great meal while you're out too ($30-50 each or so with wine), Simon Pierce in Queechee is the best food in the upper valley.

Wow - didn't realize how much I missed it up there til just now.
