I did the dash last weekend, it was not all that much trouble and no "bloody knuckles, and some kind of brain aneurysm from standing on my head for hours at a time".

One of my vent cables also did not work and (after I had the dash out) I oculd see that it was a bent cable. I just straightened the cable before I put it back toghether and all is OK. Be sure to lub all of the heater flaps and the wiper motor arms while you're in there and clean up ALL of the electrical grounds. M
