I might just post some pics for fun... ;-)

I pulled it apart, and it doesn't look much worse than before - I think the extra water was lingering in the coils and was driven out with the heat. But it appears the solenoid is now the main problem - it pulls fine, but does not trip the power to the starter. The starter itself also runs on its own when power is fed directly to it. Now I must decide between $45 for a solenoid, or $75 for a used started... I suspect the latter would be a wiser choice.
