Hell, even us non-MIT types would do that as well....we'd drive from here in Dartmouth, MA (usually a 3 hour drive). These trips were, in a way, "philosophical". You know the old question: 'If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there, does it make a sound?'....we had to answer the question: 'If someone is not at LL Bean at 2 am, is it really open?".

Once made the 3 hour run to LL Bean, in my 80 911SC in 2 hours and 20 minutes...left here at 1 am got to the lot at 3:20 am. Ahhh, some of the indiscretions of youth!
