Subject: 85 4spd tranny fluid
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Hi all.

Don't have the manual, but from examining my tranny, it appears as if there is a plug on the passenger side of the tranny (giant hex) for access to check fluid level/ add/ change fluid.

Am I missing something? (please say yes)

I also found in the archives to use 80/80w/90.any preferred brand???

I can tell this one has been leaking for a while around the linkage input and the output shafts.but there is NO indication of that hex bolt being removed.rust.anyone know what size hex tool I am going to need to get that plug out????

Dave

85 4spd
