I didn't even read the entire e-mail but I see the word SCAM written all over it. 1) Overseas Transaction 2) Cashier's Check - probably counterfeit - Are they unwilling to do a wire transfer, which would make much more sense? 3) "...cashier check of $27,000,00..., which is a refund payment of a cancelled order earlier made by my client." - Just sounds fishy. If you want to buy something of any value, you pay the purchase price, no more, no less. 4) Buyer's agent is in a hurry to make the deal happen 5) There is a middleman involved - not always a bad thing, but with an overseas transaction this sounds very bad 6) Aren't there already plenty of Vanagons in Europe for this "potential buyer" to choose from without the hassles of importation paperwork, transportation paperwork, and transportation fees?

I would RUN not walk from this "deal." The only person that it would be a deal for is the person who makes off with your Vanagon and leaves you holding the bag.

My 2¢.
