Why no dogs?
Because it's not fair to them. It's sometimes hot as Hades, no place for a
dog to cool off, it's a highly alkyline surface, YOUR feet will suffer if
you don't wear sandals, imagine what it will do the underside and the inner
parts of a dogs paws. The atmoshere is not particularly conducive to letting
dogs run. The noise will drive dogs nutso. There is no way to isolate a dog
that wants to continually bark because it's unhappy. And it might just be
after three or four days in the desert heat.
Trying to keep up with human messes is hard enough and dog owners don't have
a great track record of cleaning up after their pets in a more controlled
environment.
I have been there twice, I would never subject a critter I love to the
stupidity I would subject myself. I enjoyed it, but dogs don't belong. While
some critters might enjoy this kind of trip, most owners don't have the
objectivity to make that call.
Have a fun time at BRC.
