Volks, A few weeks ago the subject of pre-filters came up again and someone suggested a vendor that could supply a filter that had 14mm hose connections. Figuring that was close enough to the required 12mm to probably fit, I purchased one. Since they had a minimum order of $20 I also bought a nifty collapsible lug wrench. That plus nearly $10 for shipping meant I was spending 30 bucks for a filter! Oh well, at least I would finally have it and the lug wrench looks nice under the bench. What I got worked perfectly and was a NAPA filter (NAPA Gold 3299). So there you go, if you need a pre-filter with large hose connections at both ends, visit your local NAPA dealer and I'd be willing to bet you'll pay a lot less that 30 bucks. I'm going to go buy another one to improve my average cost. ;-) Jeff Warner Galloway, OH '86 Wolfy Westy "Barry" |
