Rust, rust, rust. Check under the mats, the rocker panels, the fender wells, battery trays, and below the windshield for rust, rust rust. There are lots of other things to check after that, but I've been told by my aircooled pals that the fist thing you check on a bus is the rust situation. If you can deal with the rust that's there (and there's always a little!), then you move on down the list.
