Hi Bob, Ron mentioned those to me - but as protection for the new headlights, not as a way to sneak my pinholed light through the inspector. I talked to the inspector about repairing the headlight and he explicitly said he's not allowed to pass a repaired headlight if it has a hole. So I think trying to sneak something past him is a risky proposition. I can't go elsewhere for a new inspection, because my van now has a sticker on it showing that I already took it to the first place.
