I plan to keep the van for few more years.
I have been waiting for mine to fail since I bought my camper with 149,000 miles over four years ago. Its still working fine after 232,000 miles so don't believe everything you read. Change out the gear oil and keep driving. Make sure you have no leaks especially the axle seals. I use synthetic RedLine MTL, others use MT-90. Amsoil and Mobil1 is also a suitable lubricant. Good luck,
