Malcom, you should fix this or at least take steps to find out the true
cause. The 50/50 mixture issue is not a valid one IMHO. In any case,
since you have an 86+ model you can very easily pull the "43" relay from
main relay socket 3. That absolutely precludes ANY possibility of a
coolant mixture, coolant level, coolant level sensor, or sensor
connection as a cause of the LED blinking. If the blinking still occurs
with the "43" relay out, the problem simply MUST lie within the
instrument cluster or the wiring near it, such as the 14 pin connector,
assuming a blinking LED while the temp gauge reads normal.
Reseat the 14 pin connector and cross your fingers. If this does not do
it, the gauge itself is likely at fault and this is very common on the
tach equipped models while somewhat less so on clock models.
