With as many miles as nearly all of these vans have accumulated by now, the only thing you can do is to look at the condition of the airframe then consider everything else subject to renewal. The equation is: Good airframe + $$$ = Good Syncro Be honest with yourself and make certain that you REALLY need a Syncro. There is no reasonable way to justify the hassle and expense of running a Syncro if it's 4WD system is only going to be needed a couple of times a year in order to run to the supermarket before the road crews have plowed and salted the roads. On the otherhand, as vacant of reason as it is, if running a Syncro is an ego stroke for you, go for it. After all, we're not clones of Mr. Spock. George |
