Glad to hear your trip is going along nicely.
FWIW, on my trips east, it seems that the Vanagon count drops
drastically fairly quickly. Like not even 1/2 way across WA.
I had wanted to get down to the whale watching event hosted by Mark
and Anne but have been knee deep in wrenching. (or restoring it seems,
though you'd never know to look at my bus)
The maritime museum in San Diego, particularly the submarines, is
worth visiting. The Russian sub is a kick.
