Eric,

I have a pair of MB Quart 6.5" installed under the bench seat with good result.

The improvement I would like to make is to add sound (damping) deadening material to the back side of the woofers. This will lesens the substrative cancellation between the two sides of the drivers. To be safe will requires flame retardant material for the passenger side one due to it's proximity to the furnace (combustion) exhaust port (though it is already double-wall construction). As it stand the bass is very good.

Here is the link for the entire audio system configuration.

Hope you find this an useful reference.

Hey all -

I've got a good alpine system installed in my van, but 4 4" speakers are just not cutting it for me. Is there a tried and true method for adding a subwoofer, amp, etc?

I've pillaged 2 150 Watt amps and a couple 4" pioneers from my buddy's beamer. Will these amps suffice if I pick up a subwoofer? I'm not looking to blow the doors off, just to hear the bass.

I'm thinking to put the subwoofer in the cabinet under the seat?

Thanks for any advice/pictures/horror stories about previous setups.
