While the original design is not that eloquent it has worked for over 20 years. Now that it needs some maintenance it is "no good"? Imagine the involvement if one was to take care of all the electrical system weak links.

Non fused circuits and wiring, ignition circuit and fuel pump! Undersized wiring from alternator and from battery to fuse box While there is "X" relay for accessories the headlights still draw their power through the ignition switch. AC wiring that likes to melt and burn out at the connections

The list goes on.

Fix what's needed. Improve where beneficial.

Dennis

I need to add another ground star. A while back I had some arc-n-spark under the dash and after having a look, saw the ground stars are wired up like a Christmas tree. Almost every point had multiple ground wires attached. That has got to change. So - anyone have a spare laying around? Or in these more modern times, is there a better way to deal with this grounding problem - too many ground wires for the star.

Also - There are way to many power connections on the bus bar on the fuse block. Got to deal with that too. Recommendations?

Thanks,

John
