Frank and anyone else going to BM,

Stop by and see me at Burning Man.  We'll be camped on Neptune, somewhere
between 8:00 & 9:00.  We should be real easy to find, just look for the
group of Vanagons and a very strange looking Vanagon based "art car".

BTW: You do know that dogs are not allowed at Burning Man, right?

BTW #2: If anybody with a Vanagon needs anything whilst at BM, please stop
by.  I will have a good selection of spares with me.

Time has come and Burning Man awaits our  arrival !  Shop is closed until
October 04.  Bye Bye Baby Bye Bye  !  Packing today, Ha !  Where does one
put all
the "Stuff" needed for  a six week road trip for two and a dog ??  Nooks and
crannies being  discovered as we pack.  Rita, I and dog Joubie are leaving
here tomorrow  morning and heading for Detroit where we meet up with our
friend
Ina  with her '87 Westy then we are off toward Chicago, Mt. Rushmore, The
Badlands,  Boulder, Salt Lake City, Black Rock Desert & Burning Man, then
down to
Phoenix, over to Carlesbad Caverns, Houston to visit my sister, New Orleans
for you know what, Mississippi to find some Juke Joints, up through Kentucky
and  Tennessee towards Pittsburgh to visit my Mom and sister there, then off
to
Watkins Glen for the Westys at Watkins event October 1 ~ 3 then back home,
reopen the shop and work on Vanagons again !
    Anyone along our intended trajectory stick out a  beer or two and the
Titan Red and Dove Blue Westys may stop at your door  !  Hope to see Larry
Chase
if he's back in Phoenix when we pass  there.  Karl, looking for you too so
get
the beer cold !
    We will have Internet connection via our new  Centrino powered laptop
with Wifi so e-mails will be sent and checked, Vanagon  List monitored and
Pics
of our travels posted on the Net for your viewing  pleasure.
    Now back to packing more tools and spare parts  !  The "Real" test of
man
and machine is about to begin.  See ya up  the road or at Burning Man !
