There is no need to remove dash completely, only to lift it on the left side. I managed to remove pedal assembly without even lifting it. It was hard to access 2 front bolts under dash holding 2 connecting strips but managed to do it.Hardest part was getting pedal assembly out with dash above. Since i was changing to AT setup with only brake pedal i removed clutch pedal before removing whole assembly. Leon 85 Subwagen
