I have the Pertronix installed on an 009 distributor on my '91 van. This is my van's second unit (mechanic crossed the wires on the first unit during a visit to the shop). My experience is: the first Magnet Sleeve went on very easily, but the second was a real devil to get on. I agree with another post that a LOT of force will help, but be sure that the "shoulders" are well lined up PRIOR to applying the force.

FWIW I am very happy with the unit, my van's Dwell had not changed a bit in 4 years. M
