Hi, I can't really address your particular problem, but on a recent 2,500 mile trip I had my front and rear wheel bearings re-packed. On the way home, I would occasionally hear a grinding or scraping noise which appeared to be coming from the front wheels. Couldn't replicate it or identify it with any particular action. When I got home it got a little more common, so I pulled the caps off to check the bearings. Everything was fine, but as I kept spinning the wheel, I heard a slight scraping noise. Pulled the wheel and with a very strong light, watched inside the caliper area. There was a small stone and every so often it would get picked up by the rotor and start scraping and then move out of the way. Had to remove the caliper to clean it out. Word to the wise if you travel on gravel roads or roads that have just been chip sealed. Jerry ----- Original Message ----- From: "Katherine J. Just got back from a trip to the Okanagan, and as we got into town, I noticed a lot of noise upon braking, a loud kind of rushing noise, which intensifies at the end of the braking cycle. I also think there is a bit of a rough dragging noise when simply driving, though Iım not positive about that as the engine noise obscures this. Anyone got any ideas where I should look?

Thanks, Katherine -- Katherine J. Maas ³Act as if your behavior could be a model for everyone.² Emmanuel Kant
