I always bought and used a bottle of Techron from the FLAPS every 10k on the recommendation of my VW mechanic friend Jim Thompson 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt --------------------- Clip --------------------------- Adding stuff to the gas tank or the crankcase is just a way to ease your conscience from all the neglect people subject their cars to. I use MMO (Marvel Mystery Oil) to ease my concience, I put 8 oz in the gas tank about every four tanks of gas and about 16 oz in the crankcase 300 miles before I change the oil. Knock on wood I haven't ................ no not never!, in 45 years of driving been stranded by a car and done any walking or been towed in. (OOps! Forgot that 80 GMC Diesel Pickup, glad I didn't carry a gun in those days. That would been a holy truck). AND! By the way. I've had about three Vanagons crushed into bales weighing about 2300 pounds and boy is it fun to get revenge at the crusher! Got chU' .
