Pete, MOUNTAINS! until the Eurovan, all the VW vans were so underpowered that you really have to be a V-dub nut to drive one around here (I'm in Lynchburg). Indiana is flat enough that it's not so glaring a deficiency. Also, poor dealer representation. The lynchburg dealer will special order a van, but stocks none, I don't know about Roanoke these days. Years ago, the last time I was interested in looking at a new van, the only stocking dealer w/in 150 miles was in Staunton VA.
