Years ago a clicking from that wheel finally got my 87 to a real mechanic. He tightened the big axle nut -- no more clicking. I had loosened the nut unnecessarily the first time I did rear brakes and didn't get that 360 ft/lbs back on it. With new wheel bearings, you could have same situation. If you don't find a stone in tire, try getting after that nut before more complicated stuff.
