In the 80's, during my time apprenticing as band instrument tech, one of the techs showed me that trick (cigarette) to leak test clarinets, flutes. IIRC he did this on a "garbage" horn. Anyhow. Had thought I could use that method on my WBX.

If one isn't a smoker they should be careful about inhaling cigar smoke. No kidding. That stuff will make you wretch.

Maybe use the cigar in place of the burning rag in the paint can set up.

Somewhere, maybe here, saw an image of a beer bottle plugging up the intake boot inlet. Maybe not the best material but it worked for him!
