Wait... don't answer that. We cannot permit discussions of reproducing and distribution of copyrighted material on the List.

Booklets such as those you mention may still be available from your local VW Dealer. IIRC, reprints are made by Bentley Publishers. If you will recall BP had and possibly still has a staff member on the List.
