Subject:      trouble fitting new Gowesty LP tank

Just purchased a new GOWESTY propane tank but am having trouble mounting it onto the studs. The old one came right out with no problems so I figured the new one would slide right in. I can get 3 of the notches in the two brackets to line up but left forward notch will not line up completely at about 0.25" from sliding on to stud. I'm afraid to try and bend the stud over a bit and don't want to enlarge the notch in the bracket. Eyeballing the bracket it seems to be straight but could be welded on at a slight angle. Anyone have some tips for mounting this thing or run into this problem before? Thanks for any help.
