For whatever reason people insist that they use the
blue stuff I do not understand. I understand that
there is a porblem with the green stuff but honestly I
think that the problem only happens when you allow the
green stuff to leak slowly past your heads. Green
stuff does not cause leaks but will destroy your heads
more quickly when you allow it to leak.
But I am completely sold on the orange stuff. It
is essential that you remove all the old green stuff
or blue stuff before switching. By Essential I mean
not even the smell of the old stuff.
The orange stuff is 7 dollars a gallon on sale and
it will actually improve your coolant system with a
detergent action. Use only a 50% solution as it
works less well at higher levels.
