Stan, I used an SOS pad on my first car a vw bug windshield glass when I was a kid. Before I rinsed the soap off my Dad came over and said you will probably have to replace your windshield now. He was correct. ACE has many products for polishing glass and removing mineral deposits, phosphoric acid is one item that will easily disolve minerals. Ever use a can of coke or pepsi to get gum off the carpet. its the phosporic acid in the soda that breaks down the gum. . Doug
Steel wool will scratch glass .
