Stick fork end should have plastic parts in good shape Cleaning and lubing all bushings makes shifting much more smooth Leon 85 Subwagen On Sun, 29 Aug 2004 20:58:52 EDT, Andy Morse <AudibleA@AOL.COM> wrote: > It's always something with a VW, I went to shift my 86 syncro and off > came > the shift lever, cheap metal broke near the bottom, shoved a screw > driver in the > hole and searched for first gear to get it home, luckily close to home! > > What's a good inexpensive fix for this?
