Hey folks, Have a strange coolant issue going on with an 84 that I could use help diagnosing. Sometimes, after driving and parking the vehicle, there is a gurgling in the back, and you see large bubbles coming into the main coolant tank, which forces coolant into the fill tank until it overflows. This only happens on occassion. Is this a head issue? I just replaced the head gaskets and all o-rings, so I'm sure its not that. I was also wondering if there could be a problem with the radiator. When I had the engine out, I noticed the metal coolant pipes were in bad shape, so I cut out the rear most portion and replaced them. I'm wondering if perhaps rust chunks made their way into the radiator and are causing the problem. Any help in diagnosing the problem is greatly appreciated. Thanx folks!
