Found out latter from the person insalling it that his helper pushed too hard and cracked it, ARGHH!! So if you go this route you might want to ask around and get someone who has a good referal. I have done these myself on a Bug without too much difficulty but definetly a two person job.
___________________________________________________________________ I had my windshield replaced last year by a mobile glass unit in the parking lot of my workplace. He did it by himself in less than 20 minutes and he didn't break the old one getting it out. I had him re-use the old original seal because it looked better than the new one he had brought with him. It didn't leak before and hasn't leaked since and it gets rained on almost every day. The old windshield had a small rock chip but was really scratched up from someone using steel wool to clean it. If your windshield seal is still in good shape and hasn't shrunk at the corners, the water leak is probably elsewhere. Pull out the drivers side headlight and check the grommets in the area where the wiring harness goes through the firewall. Good luck,
