>Most common diesel swaps for Landcruisers are Mitsubishi diesels. Much >cheaper than a TDI. Fairly common swap in other parts of the world >(other than the US). Try Advanced Adapters in California for swap >info. Mitsubishi diesels are grenades. They have a terrible reputation (and that's NONturbo!). Lotsa diesel cars here, almost all Toyota... dealers don't want to get returns, so don't import used diesels of other makes (offroaders are the exception, but I don't believe a manufacturer who can't make a reliable 2.0D for a sedan can make a reliable 2.7D for an offroader). I'd put a Toyota diesel into a Mitsubishi, but never vice-versa! -- Andrew Grebneff Dunedin New Zealand Fossil preparator <andrew.grebneff@stonebow.otago.ac.nz> Seashell, Macintosh, VW/Toyota van nut |
