Subject: More On Mice: 110VAC Wire Damage? PICS

Hi all.

I'm installing DC Truckfridge. While removing the 110VAC outlet at rear upper LH of cabinet, wires released, I tugged fairly hard on the outlet box to pull the box off. (I could've been more careful but have no plans to use these wires) Thinking I might've damaged the Loomex (aka Romex?) where it secures to the cabinet, I was surprised to see damage at several points.

I can't see how this damage could have been done by me. The marks don't line up with the metal straps that secure it to the cabinet.

Damage shown MAY be from a rodent chewing on the wire casing:

wire was opened "wider" by me for inspection. Regardless, I think something chewed all the way through the copper.

Just posting to help others see what damage can be done by these buggers.

Neil.
