Just died at a stop light ... does it click or anything when you turn
the key? Can you get your hands (wrench or socket or something) on
the engine & see if it turns at all (checking for a catastrophic
failure as in the "engine seized"). It didn't have the red alt lite
on for awhile did it? If it did the battery could be too low to crank
the engine but not too low to test the fuel pump, if you had a
multimeter you could check the battery voltage.
Look carefully at the ends of all the wires you can see in the engine
compartment in case anything came off.
