Subject: Stereo Installation For The Stereonically Challenged
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="ISO-8859-1"

I have an 83 diesel that came with a big ole empty space where the stereo was. I bought a used cd player on ebay and while it fits in the space quite nicely, Iım not sure what the best way to secure it is. I tried wedging it in but it seems to skip a lot and Iım pretty sure that this is because it is still flopping around quite a bit. There is a screw on the back to hold it in place to something, but to what? Am I best off drilling in a right angle piece of metal to the bottom of the inside of the dash?

Any thoughts?

Dave

P.S. Also, the place in the door for the round speakers pretty much gets covered when the door closes. Anyone have any luck with putting them lower on the panel?
