I am looking for some advice on my '86 Westy. I just had it at the shop getting the transmission swapped out. That went fine, but the mechanic noticed that the passenger side head gasket has a small wet spot on it - indicating the dreaded pitting of the heads is *probably* well under way on my van. So - what's the best course of action for this? Should I start saving to get the heads done now? Any ideas on how long it can take from a wet-spot to a full blown leak? Is it smart to replace the heads on an engine with 100K on it, or is it time to look into a rebuilt engine? Help? Andrew
