I remember coming across somewhere the auto manufacturers are required
to hold accuracy of +0/-5%. Meaning you cannot show slower speed but can
be faster up to 5%.

checked mine with a GPS and its saying on the gauge that I am going 57
but I
am actually going 63. I also have 29" tires.
Anyone have the link from the NTSA about precalibrating speedometers to
read
higher than reality to convince drivers to not drive so fast? I read it
somewhere and dint save the link.
