I had my 83 Westy Air Cooled up to 85 mph once. That's when I blew #3 piston and showered the big Dodge Duly truck behind me with three quarts of 260 degree 20/50 weight oil. That baby was blowing oil outa' ever valve cover, filler pipe and seal in the engine for 250 miles that I drove it home at 35 mph on the service road while I added a quart of oil every 30 miles and kept a'goin. Those that set land speed records are often major investors in engine oil and rebuilt engines.
