Since I'm one of the latest folk that has done an SVX conversion on a Vanagon (well, paid to have it done....)

In addition to the engine, I also upgraded to larger South African brakes up front (I already have 15" wheels. ) I also upgraded to disk brakes in the rear. I put OME shocks on and Syncro.org springs (giving a stiffer ride, but my old shocks were long past servicable.)

All of this was not cheap, but now my camper feels like I can pull wheelies, and handles oh, so much better. With its spiffy new interior (sorry folks, I'm just super busy the next couple of weeks, or I'd get those pictures up.) I feel like I have a new van.
