Gary,

Does your PVC tube actually slide completely into the supporting position as you open the hatch? Or do you have to use a hand to finish getting it to go past the end of the cylinder? It seems it would have to slide "up" to go into position without any assistance.

My strut is installed in the opposite orientation as in the picture on the Bloss pdf I have offered to share with the list. It clearly will fall into place. See the attached. (the links in the pdf file are no longer operative)

I have cc'd this to the list which will not get the attachment.
