Its not speed that kills its mistakes, that end it all.

I've logged over 3 million miles OTR in the "BIG" rigs. My fastest was 132mph in a 2000(yr) 660 Volvo(500hp). Now it hard almost impossible to get it going that fast unless no one else is on the road. Most of the time I ran about 90 to 95mph (paid by mile).

Never had an accident because I did not drive fast when it was unsafe to do so. Also, had a 64 chevy van, with 327 fuel injected vet engine, clocked over 140 mph, I forgotten 1/4 mile times, used to race it now and them. I'd never want to do it in my vanagon though, to unstable after 80.
