Eric is right, it probably isn't as bad as it looks.


I had the fuel sending unit replaced on my (former) 91 Syncro Camper.


My local mechanic had the job done in less than 2 hours. The nuts and
bolts on the sending unit were corroded, but I shot them with PB Blaster
the day before the work was to be done. I was shocked that he had the job
done so fast, frankly, because it looked to me like an all-day project.
Having the right tools helps.


This shop now gets all my repair work, and I specify that I want the same
mechanic working on my vehicles.
