About any general purpose lube is fine. I'd look for the least offensive clear lubes (don't use the black Molly stuff). You may need to remove the door panel armrests so your late model armrest seats will fit. Hey All, I just purchased some 86 vanagon seats to put in my 83. Iım going to clean up all the rails on the van and the seats before the install, and Iım wondering if anyone has any thoughts on lubricants for the rails. Iım not a WD-40 fan so I was thinking of white lithium grease, but then I thought this might end up attracting crud. Anyone with any experience in this department?
