Volks, A few days ago I posted a 10,000 mile report on the performance of the 2.1L Waterboxer AVP engine I installed. I mentioned that 1 or 2 lifters were noisy (pump up issue) at start up, even if it just sat overnight or a couple of hours. John Rodgers suggested that I change over to Mobile One Synthetic. Greta advise! Four days ago I made the change to 15/50 Mobile One. Since then the lifter problem see to have been almost 100% resolved. About 10% of the time I get a little noise at start up but it goes way very quickly. BTW .. I have always used a Mann or Mahle Oil filter and was using Castrol GTX 20-50 oil.
