Just take a razor scraper and nudge it gently against the mounting block after you've removed the mirror. The old block should pop right off and get lost in the seat. Use the razor then to scrape off any excel glue stuck to your windshield then a little BonAmi, Dutch Cleanser or such and roughen the area that you want to put the new mirror mount. Super glue works good for mounting the new mirror mount. What will remove the type of mirror bracket that's glued to the windshield. I have a second rear view mirror on my Westy and I'd like to move it up an inch or two.
