Hi folks, Did an oil change today, and while I was waiting for the level to settle I started poking around in the air intake upstream of the of the air box. Never really knew the state of affairs in that area, had time to kill, etc. Feeling around in the area behind the right taillight, the flexible hose that feeds from the intake above seemed in less than great shape: partially collapsed, and leaky when the engine was running. Does this really matter? Is it worth replacing/repairing/modifying? I've got no problems with how it runs now, but then again I've never driven an optimized 2.1 either. Probably a low priority thing on a original engine with 170k on it, but could be one of those "every little bit helps" things. thanks, -Matt Sutton 88GL Brooklyn NY |
