Chris,

From my vast experience with wet weather (HAHAHAHA I live in Phoenix, AZ), try replacing, or at least examining and cleaning your plug wires, especially the wire from the distributor to the coil (or is it the other way around?). You are describing exactly the symptoms my dad had with his Mercedes with 30 yr old wires. Turned out he had a ton of corrosion in the center dizzy connection.
