Hi Gang,

I just got back from my Asia trip. Time to remind all about the 4th Annual SF Van-O-Rama this Saturday. Go to the link Craig created for the event for further information or send me a note at van.o.rama@gmail.com.

I've had a couple of dozen RSVP's to date.

Just FYI on the parking site situation. Just before I was boarding my plane last week for my trip, I received a call from the Park & Rec. folks frantically advising that they just realized their contractors have 66% of the parking lot blocked off from parking.

For those who haven't been following this, the permit (I got) is for 40 parking spaces. There are only 22 left open. Fortunately, the chainlink fence that the construction company erected makes the driveway between the parking lanes unusable for traffic. That means we can still park 40 plus vans/cars in the same space normally used for 22 cars. It just means nobody else can park in the place on our day.

We will be posting a sing saying "NO PARKING AVAILABLE INSIDE PARK". That sign is NOT for us. That is for other park patrons. So drive right in and follow the signs.

During my conversation with Sandy Lee from the Park & Rec on September 1st, she advised that we have permission to block the rest of the parking spaces. She also added that there will be restroom facilities open at the park. Still need confirm the exact spot and quality of said facilities. Hmmmm.... I hope she doesn't mean doing your business in the woods. =)

BTW, some folks have indicated that they will bring FOOD to share. I am not sure how many folks and how much will be there. More food and drink is always welcome.

See you folks soon on Saturday.

BenT
